    USA Women's Baseball has announced the final 32 players who will be trying out for the 18 player roster Aug. 2nd - 4th at the USA Baseball Complex in Cary.

    Brionna Skinner, who played softball at Northwood High School and travel ball in NC, is the only North Carolina player to make this elite list.

    I know this isn't softball, but she's "one of ours" and I believe this is an awesome accomplishment!

    Still playing softball too!!

    Bri also played club softball this past year at ECU and led the ECU team to the World Series in Atlanta, GA

    That's great!! Congratulations!

    For those unfamiliar with club softball, you need to check it out. Great competition without the extreme time commitment. Most all major universities have club ball; even the ones that don't have Division ball.

    NC State, UNC, ECU, Duke, Virginia(s), Florida, Georgia, on and on. Most of those mentioned and others play each other regularly.
