    Her father has given me the honor of announcing that Ashley Christy(Marvin Ridge/Cardinals-Chandler) has committed to play softball for the Georgia State Panthers.I have watched this young lady play for the last 4 years and she is probably the best outfielder I have ever seen.Offensively she is double trouble,play her back and she will lay down a bunt and use her blazing speed on you.Play her up and she will take it deep,usually resulting in a triple.Defensively she makes "ESPN" plays look routine.She has a cannon for an arm and will throw you out at first from center field if you are not hustling.A hard worker and fine young lady she is very deserving and we are very proud of her!

    Georgia State is getting a great softball player. Great job.....

    It is indeed Fantastic that Ashley has committed to play at Georgia State. I have have the pleasure and the honor to coach her for the last 3 years in high school and she has grown and matured into a GREAT player and a Fantastic young lady. She not only has excelled in softball but also in track and in the classroom. Georgia State has stolen a gem!
