    The rule states it is a "courtesy", but it seems like an opportunity to be deceptive....aka - CHEAT!!!:vanish:

    so true!..you should have seen the look on the umps face when he saw all the number #18 in the line up..he got a good chuckle out of it....

    So he actually wrote the number 18 down for every single player? Sounds like the heat really got to some of them this week...

    yep...we got the lineups in the pressbox and #18 was on all players:pleased:

    This old mind just doesn't work like it use to .....and I even spelled out the number...... what I meant was first not third. What I don't understand is why all the confusion. This is "rule" that I have always known, I guess as a stats and "rule" person I picked it up along the way. I think the coach just called attention to his lack of knowledge by being "cute" with his roster in his next game.

    I had to laugh at the irony of the coach putting all the same numbers on the line up card. I just want to get this straight. I didn't know the rule and in my ignorance I protested, so to further show my ignorance I'm going to write down everyone with the same number "to show them". Show them what? That you got caught not knowing the rule and you are trying to make a big deal out of it. LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL
