Alright what do you guys think? Are the AC Fans back as cocky as they were last season, or did the 48-7 beat down silence them for a little bit?

It should be a very competitive year- I still think Hibriten returns enough speed in the back field to be the team to beat.

Hibriten is the team to beat but it's going to be a different story in 2011. That jv team that Hibriten had last fall was not very good and let's face it, it was a factor in Cannon leaving sooner rather than later. I will say he left the new coach with a good roster this year at least.

Alexander Central will be good again. It looks like they will be better overall on offense but they have to absorb some big losses on defense. They can't replace Blake Baker at DE but look for Stephen Burns to have a monster season at DT. Linebackers are good and the db's are solid.

I like Hickory for 3rd. They have a lot of talent and this might be the year they put it together.

    1. Hibriten
    2. Alexander Central
    3. Hickory
    4. St Stephens
    5. Watauga
    6. South Caldwell
    7. Fred T Foard

I think there is something of a gap after the top 3 teams although St Stephens could pull an upset or two. Watauga will enjoy their new stadium.

Not real sure how we (South Caldwell) will fare this year. One thing for sure Hibriten will be the team to beat. They probablly have more speed than all the other teams combined. Also talk here in the county they got a real good running back who moved here from down east. Why can't they move a little further south and come to school here. lol

I have no doubt that family was a factor but wait for next year and see the W's drop 50%. I give the guy a lot of credit for not waiting to step down after this coming season.

    Good to be back

Well let me start by saying its good to be back and have something to talk about for a while. Missed everyone...

I do agree that Hibriten should be the team to beat this upcoming year. I think it always works that way. The defending champs should be the favorite. I'm not really sure about their talent an who all is coming back but i'm sure thiers some talent their..

I think AC's goin to be really tough this year as well. Defense should be really good. Yes baker will be hard to replace but I think the d-line could be even better this year. 0-line depth will be interesting as well as running back gotta get good production their. If that happens i dont see any reason ac cant compete in every game this year.

I'm sure hickory st an watugua will all be very good this year. I know its always tough to play at watugua. An they always have really good senior leadership an talent
Hickorys never a pushover. but i want comment on those teams cuz i really dont know anything about them.

I believe Con. will be alot closer this year. At least the top half.
    1- Hibriten
    2- AC
    3- St. Stephens
    4- Hickory
I beilieve AC and St. Stephens will be better this year. Look out Panthers repeat maybe tough..

Looks like most think SC, Foard and Watagua will battle for the bottom. One thing for sure Hibriten will be the team to beat. If they can stay heathy they will be better than last year. I don't see AC having enough speed to compete with them, hickory, Maybe? St. must have something I don't know about for everyone to be picking them so high.

According to the HDR Friday, Saint doesn't seem to have the number of players they were expecting and will have some inexperience this year.
