    Coach Simmons

Well said Coach Simmons. It really felt good to get on the field again. It might be time to come out of retirement don't you think? One thing I can say is all the years coaching with you we still know how to keep it fun instead of tearing players apart like some do. That team this weekend was amazing.

Lenoir Rhyne was there Sat. There were a couple of assistance from 2 other schools that would sit in the stands and keep a low profile (don't know from where).

I've had battles with you about the South Caldwell stuff, and unless you were a part of this, I guess you'll never understand.

There is no way on earth this game was ever going to be played. HEAT are Co-Champions, and it could not have been scripted any better. We will take it, remember it, be proud of it, and cherish it for life.

Yep your right we had our differences about our softball team at SC and now that the time has past we both see who was right on that one. One for me.
I'm really not bashing here at all, as I appreciate all you do for the girls. It's just I'm old school and was always taught you never quit and you always, ALWAYS !!!! finish what you start. I just don't agree with the message it send when we decide just to quit. Maybe I'm the one wrong this time, but that is just my think and it will never change. Congrats to you guys anyway. No hard feelings

Thanks, and we feel very comfortable about the message we sent to the girls. It was one very happy occasion!

We're still 0-0 as far as I'm concerned.

I would like to say a big Thank You to Amanda for the tournament. It is very refreshing for those of us who live in the Western part of the State to go to Morganton. Rock Hill is fine, Spartanburg is good, Burlington is OK, but Morganton is a great facility, and would be a good place for the State tournament.

This Showcase is in it's 2nd year on this date. It is a perfect date, and I think it will grow each year. I know a lot of the big name teams did not attend, and that's OK, but maybe they will in the future.

Congratulations to our pitchers, Ashley Rhyne, Laura Hopper, and Bailey Smith who gave up 2 runs through 7 games, and congratulations to our hitters and baserunners who put up 46. Before you assume that it was because of the competition, please remember we have earned our stripes at all the big tournaments in N.C. and S.C. It is fantastic to get some new teams, and new kids playing in these type tournaments. I cannot find one negative to attach to anything about the weekend!
