Four players that stands out that hasn't committed are:

AJ James - MT.Pleasant High and CBC showcase team. Excellant player who is very athletic and one of the hardest workers around. Can swing the stick and play multiple positions well. Terrific teammate and will do whatever it takes for his team to win.

Brandon Wilkerson- Mallard Creek High and CBC Showcase team. Excellant athlete, fast, plays outfield. Two year starter at corner back for Mallard Creek football team. Can really swing the stick from the left side.

Hunter Bryant- Erwin High in Ashville and DirtBags Showcase team. Big athletic young man that can play the corner spots and all he does is HIT, Hit and Hit with power.

Michael Russell: Hopewell High and DirtBags Showcase team. Recovering nicely from high school baseball injuryl injury. If wasn't for that i am sure he would have already committed to a D1 school. Very athletic, three year starter on football team and basketball team, Smooth fielding infielder, can also play the outfield and all he does is also Hit, Hit and then Hit some more.
Whatever school pick these kids up will be very happy.

Considering the majority of college bound players in the '11 class has not committed, there is a long list of names. Keep in mind many outstanding players are waiting to take their official school visits before their commitment.

By the way, great list of names by pirates05

2 I think are getting a lil over looked are from JH Rose. Not going to go into detail, but here's the overview

Austin Chiang-Utility. Grew up as MIF, now roams CF for Rose and Legion. Good reads, routes, jumps. Started as a Jr for Rose (rarity). Also plays football for the Rampants. Good makeup/grades/attitude. Clutch. Still growing and developing. Def worth a look. Tuff to make the Fall showcase circuit when you are snagging passes in 4A football.

Charlie Herring - Catcher. Solid pop times, strong as a bull ox and ripped. Speed and arm could lend himself to RF if warranted. Power stick, just needs to relax and let it happen. Started for Rose as Jr (*again, a rarity) and caught every game in 2010. Twin sister is ranked somewhere top 2 female tennis player in US of 16 or 17's.,, So, competitive genetics abound. She's headed to Georgia. He will do well for someone.

Just Down the road at Conley

Jordan DeLoatch LHP. Keeps it low and doesn't get rattled. Led DHC on the mound last year in their win over JHR. Good on and off field and in classroom...is a coaches pitcher. Wants the ball. Blue collar work ethic.

I don't talk about players much on here...Am sure there may be others, but these three pop to mind....

Haven' seen the other two play diesel, but have seen DeLoatch quite a bit and i am very surprised a lefty as talented as he is, hasn't committed yet. Jordan is a bulldog on the mound and will not give in. A very nice young man, who Mikal loves as a teammate and has nothing but good things to say about him. The school that gets him will be very happy.

One of the reasons I'm looking forward to the Woodstock event is all the players from the 10 teams that aren't committed. I've read about so many of them, but haven't had an opportunity to see them all play. This will be my first showcase event all year that I've attended, so I'm excited to see so many talented players....and with all of the college coaches attending...wow, it will be electric.

All one would have to do is check out the rosters of the teams participating; note the one's that haven't committed , and those will be the guys that will get a ton of attention.

Another cool thing is I understand a few players will be announcing on stage their commitments...I hope one is committing to Wingate because the crowd would go wild!:band:

Justin Hammond, Hopewell, 1st B/Of/P. Strong kid that makes consistent contact. Nobody outworks him and displays leadership with his actions. A top student academically, Justin's character is impeccable. If I was a coach, Justin is one I would ensure was on my team.

Im pretty sure Grey Wordsworth was offered at c of c but has not committed as yet. I believe he will be visiting unc-a and app state this weekend and will then decide among the offers he has. He has had a very good summer despite being told not to play show case ball. My hunch is app state, but I have been wrong before.

57 K's in 28-2/3 innings, thats a little over 2 an inning. His fastball is his "bread and butter" and his off speed stuff, sometimes lacks movement which speeds up a hitters bat or he struggles to throw it for a strike.(He walked 21 and hit 3 batters). Dylan is a great athlete and will dominate this year, as long as he stays healthy.
