Although I don't know Coach Moore, he has worked under some tremendous coaches: Coach Cooke at Davidson and Coach Jarman at Lander.

What many people don't know is the Peach Belt Conference, one that Lander is a member, is one of the strongest baseball conferences in the country. They consistently have 4-6 teams ranked in the Top 40....and have many players drafted each year.

It's very competitive in recruiting for players and Lander has had a tough time, in the past, getting the top players needed to compete in that conference. I suspect that Coach Moore's experience at Lander, while valuable, was a little frustrating for him. He's going into a great opportunity @ App St and I fully expect him to be successful. My personal opinion is he has experienced all levels of coaching and has had a great learning experience along the way. It will only serve him well in his future.

Since I mentioned Lander, it is only fair to add the administration at Lander is completely behind the baseball program. They will be opening their new multi-million dollar facility this year...and the town of Greenwood is a huge supporter of the school.

a catamount- mountain cat, wild ferocious (sp?), small in stature, about the size of a bobcat or linx, has a bobbed tail, and can play the heck out of some baseball. :offtopic: ha ha
