Got this today from one Ray's daughters

Wow...the power of prayer at work!!!

Daddy has been awake today, breathing mostly on his own. Momma describes it as "with minimal pressure support." I don't really understand that, but his oxidation is 35, which is down substantially. A couple of days ago, they ran neurological tests on his brain activity since he wasn't showing much sign of waking up. They all came back normal. Dad's doctor told him yesterday that "You're going to be okay." He is talking to Momma about moving Dad to another acute care facility where they offer physical therapy. Daddy has something called "critical care neuropathy" that his doctor describes as nerve damage from being in the bed in critical care for so many weeks. Physical therapy will help, it's just a slow road. Doctor Ayoob also mentioned getting Daddy home to North Carolina, and told Momma he wants to talk about that in a couple of weeks.

Today Momma talked to Daddy a lot about what was going on, and he moved his mouth like he was trying to say something to her, but she couldn't always understand. At one point, she turned on a baseball game on the tv in his room, and put the little speaker up close to his head and he fixed his eyes on the game. He is still trying to get out from under the meds, but he knew the sound of baseball. I thought that was really funny.

I think we are all numb from the roller coaster, but let no one question the power of our Lord! All the glory goes to Him. Thank you for your prayers, please continue to lift him and Momma up!

    Prayers going up!

Our thoughts and prayers are definitely with Ray, Sharyn and family! Known Ray a long time. He is an A1 class act! Sharyn is just as sweet as she can be. I hate they have to go through this but I know the power of prayer and it will get them through it! Love you guys!

All the best to Ray and Family!

We never had an opportunity to get to really know Ray very well, but having been associated with Rick's team, we certainly feel like we do. Prayers on the way...Godspeed!

    Ray

Ray has taken a slight turn for the worse over the weekend. They have had to sedate him again. (Possibly a new infection of some type)
We ask for your continued prayers.
