    The Lady Patriots Softball team defeated Burns 5-1. Pitcher Emily Hester and catcher Alexis Johnson led the Patriots in the field while Gracie Hunter and Cindy Williams both had hits. Gracie, Emily, Mikeala Bell, Sarah Scism, and Alexis Short scored runs to lead the Lady Patriots to victory.

    KMMS record is 5-3, will have to win the next two games next week to make to the semi-finals, we lost a very valuable player this week as well so the team will have to work harder. Good luck KMMS

    top Two teams from each division (east and west) of the Tri-County Conference(Cleveland, Lincoln and Rutherford) make the playoffs.

    west:
    Chase
    Crest
    East Rutherford
    RS Central
    Shelby

    east:
    North Lincoln
    West Lincoln
    Kings Mtn
    East Lincoln
    Lincolnton
    Burns


    west #2 plays @ east #1
    east #2 plays @ west #1

    Championship game at West site this year and the playoffs start next week.

    Kings Mountain at West Lincoln

    The Kings mountain Patriots had the west Lincoln Chiefs on the ropes going into the bottom of the 6th inning with a 4 to 3 lead. Good pitching and solid defense by KM allowed then to hold the one run lead. In Wests half of the sixth the damn broke and with two outs a combination of timely hits and unfortunate KM errors allowed the Chiefs to put 6 across giving them a 9 to4 lead going into the seventh. KM threatened in their half of the inning, but could not plate any more runners. Final score WL 9 KM 4
    Great game and a tough loss for KM.

    Holbrook defeated Belmont 4 to 1 and advances to the championship game on Friday. Both teams played great. Breezy (Holbrook) and Morgan (Belmont) both pitched great for their teams. Good job girls.
