I apologize for any semblance of arrogance in the earlier post.
I only intended to stand up for my players after what I felt was an insult of their achievement.
The teams we play - particularly in conference - are superb programs that have solid coaches. It will take everything in our tank to compete nightly.

Possibly nothing was meant to insult my players or program, but it was, at the least, a bakhanded comment.
Again, my apologies for a "rightly intentioned" possible wrong action.

    Mr. Fowler,

I am sorry that you felt that this was an insult to your players, it was all in fun, just like your comment on my team. I do not coach a high school team, however I do strive to teach my kids how to play the game and how to play it right.
I have coached for many years in the youth program and have coached several of your kids. I coached the middle school team 4 years ago that came in first place and several of the kids went to your team and they were fine players.
I have the job of trying to teach these 12 year olds to play and love this game and I do take it seriously. If they don't learn it now, it will be too late in high school. This team is made up of kids that love this game and I hope one day will make a high school team a better team.
Andy thought enough of this team to allow us to come under his name and we strive to maintain the integrity of his program. I know that a few of these kids will fall off the baseball map before they get to high school, however I really think you will be hearing about several of these kids in the near future.
I wish you the success next year in baseball and hope your team does well in the conference.

    Tim Bailey

I would never change the life time events that have happened with travel baseball or show case baseball. The families are one.The players are one. There is nothing better than seeing a player that you have coached and him come and hug you.I don't have much money but if it cost me 10k a year to go and do it again I would do it. The life events that I have had with these players bring tears to my eyes . Money has nothing to do with the travel and fun that we have had.I had always wanted to go to Cooperstown but I never dreamed that we would get the chance to play there.East Cobb what a place. I could watch games there everyday and the talent is unreal.God gave those kids the talent and thanks to the parents they are only getting better because of the talent that they are playing against. If you told a kid that he could play in Yankee stadium he would jump for joy.Playing at UNC,USC or at Jupiter what a experience .This will be the only chance that most of these kids will have to play at a place like that.I guess the bad part is that they do miss alot of church. Not trying to get in the middle but when these kids play tournament ball they are 12u.

    hititfar,

We are planning on going to the USSSA Elite 32 and maybe the AAU Nationals, we tossed the Cooperstown ideal around, however for the price of Cooperstown we can play USSSA and AAU and play better teams. Cooperstown is a nice experience from what I hear, but we can do 2 weeks in Florida for the same price. We also do a big tournament in Winder GA with the top teams in the SE and are planning a tournament at EASt Cobb.
