Cary Changes Again

Word is that Cary HS has made another baseball coaching change. What's up?

 

Well, if they would finally do the right thing and hire Jere Morton, they would have had a coach for life. One of the few guys that really wanted the job, he as an alumni, a great baseball person and has a passion for the school (or did.)

They never should have let him get away.

 

Amen, Braves. Sometimes people get so hung up on credentials that they overlook the gifts and passions in an individual right in their midst. Jere bleeds green and would have made a great hire. It's a shame.

 

Jere

worked his tail off for that program and for the Cary players. He invested everything he had into that program. It tells you all you need to know about how serious the school is about building a program at this school when they passed him over for this job. Every year its the same old story at Cary. New guy comes in and then he leaves. Its a pure shame that these players have had to deal with this fiasco their entire hs careers.

There was no one out there that would have been a better fit for the Cary program than Jere. Too bad the circus stopped in Cary a few years back and left these clowns to run the show.

 

FYI Sasscer was at Chapel Hill HS NOT East Chapel Hill

JM15 is right. With Cary being in the tough Tri-9 he needs good luck. With so many coaches leaving so quickly there must be some problem at the very top at Cary.
