Anyone know any actual news on changes for the Post 29 team. Rumors about coaching changes, etc.

I know I'm a Post 100 guy, but, I am NOT trying to start any fuss here. I am only looking for real information about what is going on.

I searched the Gaston Gazette site, but no info. Usually Richard Walker hears and reports things quickly and correctly.

Thanks in advance for any info.

    Hamby now coaching Alexander County.
Brandon Banks now coaching Caldwell County.
Steve Bumgardner now AD in Alexander County.

BDR still coaching Cherryville with his son at ECU?

I have heard of no changes in the staff at all.

Coach Reynolds is still the head coach of East Rutherford HS. Can't remember how many years he has to get full retirement.

I was just chatting with the Post 100 Athletic Officer on Saturday, trying to find out if the Hamby talk from WLON 1050am saturday morning sports show was true. I am sure he would have said something if there were any changes.

Cherryville is a small community. If something happens with baseball, high school or legion it is a big deal.

    sdtrip,
Thanks for the "heads up" on the article. I appreciate knowing an additional news source that covers legion ball. Down in my area, we have Richard Walker of the Gaston Gazette, and he usually spoils us with good reporting on a regular basis, not just sometimes, or almost never, as is the case with the Charlotte teams.

Yes BDR is still coaching Cherryville and Drew is at ECU. Drew started in the season opener for ECU against Youngstown State. Drew was 2-5 with 1 run scored in the 11-3 win.
