HS scheduling back to back same week

    seems like I heard there were going to be scheduling changes so teams would play each other twice in the same week. did somebody nix that plan?

    The South Piedmont Conference does it. It works out great. Can't just ride one dominant pitcher.

    This will be the 2nd year the SPC will have used this type scheduling and it does prevent you from having to face a teams ace twice during conference play. Last year, they had jv's playing at opposite as varsity and that really hurt attendance. Thankfully they have changed it and jv/varsity will play at same site this year.

    South Piedmont Conference 3A...its made up of all Cabarrus County Schools:

    Mount Pleasant
    Northwest
    Concord
    Kannapolis
    Central Cabarrus
    Jay M. Robinson
    Hickory Ridge
    Cox Mill

    Southern Carolina Conference also did this last year.

    Worked great...requires teams to develop another quality pitcher for conference play.
