Weyco, you weren't the only one driving in circles out at Weddington. I talked with several people from the Hough contingent who did the same thing! Entrance to the field at Hough is not as difficult. Field is pretty much adjacent to the football field. Parking lot for both is the lower lot, which is actually the bus parking lot when school is in session. I'll be headed up your way on 3/3, as my son is playing JV (as of now). And I agree, good luck this season except for March 3rd.

Thanks, some of the new schools can be difficult for outsiders! We welcome you to A.L. Brown, the field is behind the school and to the right of the gym, bring a jacket even if it's warm, the design of the field creates a draft. After the game go by the What-A-Burger #10 on Main Street (Hwy 29-A) a Kannapolis treasure!

Thanks for the welcome and info Weyco, and thanks to all of you for the dining tips. I have heard of What-a-Burger, and now have an 'excuse' to visit! We are all excited @ Hough, being a first year school. Having followed HS baseball in Charlotte for awhile, it is even more fun for me now having my (freshman) son playing this year.

Hough baseball off to a quick start for a 1st year school. Both Varsity and JV are 2-0. Varsity has beat JM Robinson 9-6 & A.L. Brown 4-2. JV has played the same schools and won by scores of 12-0 (Robinson) & 17-0 (Brown). Son plays JV, so that is where I am spending my time (obviously). JV pitcher Michael Hammond threw a no-no last night - An impressive performance by a freshman in his high school debut on the bump. Both Huskies teams back in action again today against powerhouse Providence. Good luck to both teams today.

Looking forward to hearing "the line" on this one! Good luck to Hough. The I-Meck needs a big win here from a new school to establish ourselves as a conference to be reckoned with.

Going to be a tough game tonight for the Huskies, no doubt. Believe I read somewhere that Providence hit 7 home runs in their first game. Hope whoever pitches tonight works down in the zone and "blue" likes the low strike. Otherwise, could be a looong day (and night). Hough has been swinging the bats pretty well though, so who knows. That's why they play 'em, as the saying goes...
