Does anyone know when/if Impact will be releasing its pre-season polls this year? Last year, the pre-season polls were posted on February 10th. I know the polls really do not mean a whole lot, as anything can happen, but I was just curious who the favorites were this season.

Or does anyone know of an alternative website with polls for teams across the state?

They really do a good job with this. There are always teams that could be shuffled around or added, but for a beginning of the season poll, Impact does a great job in gathering information and it gives us a credible poll.

AK no.1?....wow, I'm sure Coach Bagwell doesn't want that bullseye this early in the year. The trick for him is to keep all his committed players hungry---no easy task to do.

Nice to see Mallard Creek making the list and I suspect we'll see Mooresville very soon.

Everybody like to talk of "Eastern" bias? 2 of those 10 are from the east... 3 if you count Southern Alamance. 0 of the 10 if you go east of I-95.

Decent looking Top 10 from 4A. Holly Springs will be very good but the conference is very good which could drop them in the "state rankings". Lee County, Apex, Middle Creek, Fuquay, and Green Hope are all very legit in the Tri-9.

    Greater Neuse River Conf

Lets not forget the Greater Neuse River Conf - Garner, Clayton and Harnett Central should be the stronger teams.

Lee County just missed? For the record, I predicted them top 10 for 2011 back in 2009. Just saying...

And if not for a couple injuries, Holly Springs would be even higher. Maybe even 1st.

Although I'm a little puzzled as to how Cardinal Gibbons is not in their class's top 10. Maybe they aren't as deep as I thought, but I'm confident they'll be up there soon.

Eastern bias is not there which is fine. Talent in the state is spread out this year. Both east and west have got the players.
