    AFTER MUCH THOUGHT AND CONSIDERATION MY DD SAM HAS DECIDED TO PLAY COLLEGE BALL AT SALEM WITH COACH LONG AND THE SALEM COLLEGE SPIRITS!!!! I AM SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS NEW CHAPTER IN MY DD'S LIFE AND CAN NOT WAIT TO WATCH THESE NEXT YEARS IN HER COLLEGE CAREER UNFOLD--I THOUGHT HER PLAYING DAYS WERE OVER AFTER LAST YEARS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!!! THANKS TO COACH LONG AND SALEM FOR RESTARTING THE SALEM SOFTBALL PROGRAM I LOOK FORWARD TO NEXT YEAR'S SCHEDULE AND MEETING ALL THE YOUNG LADIES THAT WILL GET TO PLAY FOR AN OUTSTANDING COLLEGE!!! I'M SO PROUD OF MY DAUGHTER FOR CHOOSING HER COLLEGE FIRST--GETTING TO PLAY SOFTBALL IS AN ADDED BONUS!!!!:xyxthumbs:

    Sorry her full name is Samantha Smith 2010 grduate of East Surry High School--3 time State Champion and former Carolina Cardinal-McHone,Carolina Attitude-McDowell and Lady Lightning-Corn/Harris---I would like to thank all of her coaches over her entire career (including her Dad ) for getting her to this place in life so far--She or her entire family could not have done it without any of them or the entire softball community!!! I love being a part of the Softball FAMILY!!!!! WE ARE A SPECIAL BREED!!!!!:willy_nilly:

    Congratulations!

    I used to coach with Coach Long in HS. He is very dedicated to the girls and the sport. Your DD is in good hands. She will enjoy her softball career with Coach Long. Great guy!

    Of course, I knew her name, but wanted to get her fifteen minutes of fame on the board.....so, congradulations Sammy Smith for making the next level.....you were always fun to watch.
