Forum Guidelines

The purpose of this forum is to:
A. Inform people about the baseball scene.
B. Educate people about teams & players.
C. Inform players about playing beyond H.S.
D. Entertain each other with humor.
E. Report baseball on a state-wide basis.
F. Acknowledge performances by teams/individuals.
G. Provide in-depth/accurate game reports.
H. Support each other in playing/watching this difficult game.

The purpose of this forum does not include:
A. Slamming other players
B. Starting Flame wars
C. Insulting individuals or teams
D. Swearing ... We have 12 year olds reading the board,

When you name players, it needs to be in a positive light. If you have some thing critical to say, it has to be about a team, not an individual. You may post observations concerning team performance, but if your only purpose is to knock another team, your post will be deleted.

Humor is ENCOURAGED. In fact, a sense of humor is manditory.

Consider this board as a continuing open dialog between a group of friends. New friends are always welcome.

If you want to just insult another team or individual, go back to charlotte.com. It doesn't belong here.

You are Strongly encouraged to read the old threads, particularly the ones labeled "TBR Instant Classics" before you start posting. That will teach you more about what the board is about than any single message or post. If you haven't read any of the "TBR Instant Classics", you are missing vital information concerning what we are about.

 

Copyrighted Material

Copyrighted material, such as lists generated through the efforts of IMPACT BASEBALL are not to be posted on this web site. The top-10 team list is on the public side and can make for good debates, BUT, under no circumstances should a list from a proprietary source be posted.

Concerning Impact Baseball in particular

Andy Partin has graciously allowed us to answer limited questions concerning his lists.

You may ask: "Where is Joe Shmoe on Impact Baseballs Top-50 list?"

The response: If Joe Shmoe is 4th or 7th on the list, you may answer "Joe is in the Top 10". If Joe Shmoe is is 11th, you may answer "Joe is in the Top 20".

Not absolutes, but relative. The list will not be displayed on this web site. If we discover any list that we have doubts about, it will immediately be deleted upon discovery.

Many services NEVER ALLOW their information to be displayed in such a format. It was very gracious of Andy to allow this much and I know that we appreciate it ... I certainly do.

You may ask "so what".....
Any owner of such copyrighted information may request from the board the name and e-mail address of such an individual. We must comply with all such requests. After that, it's up to the owner of the material. Additionally, all postings contain an IP Address (machine level) which can allow tracing to an individual physical address and/or location.

Abuse of this privilege may loose us this gift also.

 

What I like most about this forum, is the parent's and coaches who can respect the abilities of opponents and acknowledge them as well as their own teams. It keeps me guessing who they actually are sometimes. Weyco - I expecially love how you can openly praise players from the other teams - since I don't have to guess who you are tied to. It's not always about winning and losing. Great job.

 

Yeah, Weyco does a great job of keeping us informed and highlighting players. We are fortunate to have many like that.

You should have seen Joe play....

 

Joe was a teammate of Braves back in the day. That was when the gloves was made of real leather,,, and the batting helmets were leather too...

 

You would know............................since you were my coach.

 

Whatever happened to ole NCBBALLFAN? Does he still post? He was a gooden.

 

No...he pretty much moved on when his son graduated
