low&slow, I understand the JVs are starting at 4:00, and varsity will play afterwards. So, 6:30-7:00 range for the big boys...

    Hough 4 Kannapolis 2

Dylan May went 4 strong, allowing 2 runs (1 ER) in the loss. I was impressed with Hough as a team, they battled for the 4 runs they scored. Kannapolis had runners on second with no outs in 2nd and 3rd innings, but failed to score. Solid job by umpires in this game!

Oh BTW, tj no hotdogs at Hough only candy!??? :stunned:

Hickory Ridge wins 8 to 0 at home over Rocky River. Blake Sides and Travis Baucom combine to pitch the shoutout. Sides went 5 and Baucom 2. Next game Monday against Butler.

Great Varsity game...Bruner frustrated Kannapolis with really good off spead stuff. My son said "He was only throwing 65 MPH", so I asked why did you go 0-3? :de-mote: Hough will be a force this year, solid in every aspect of the game. A few scouts at the game for Dylan May, who for 3 innings was simply overpowering. I was talking to the umpires in the parking lot and the home plate umpire said he was the best pitcher he had seen in awhile and that was before I wrote the check for next game!!! :REDanceFdans002HL:

Butler and Weddington played a tough nosed defensive gem with Butler
winning 1-0 at Weddington. Brandon McWhirter tosses the complete game shutout. Aj Larson had the lone RBI for the Bulldogs.
