    Congrats to COX MILL!! 1st ever conference win.. Cox Mill 6 Mt Pleasant 5. Travis Watkins winning pitcher and hit HR.. way to go Travis.

    Country Day travels to FLA and opens with a win vs. Exeter (PA). Sophomore Keisuke Ishikawa picks up the win as three Bucs pitchers combine for 8 Ks while allowing only 5 singles. Lee Harrison has an outstanding day at the plate going 4-4 with a triple and a double. William Frazier had back to back triples and CF Webb Anderson was on base on all four trips with a double, single and 2 HBP.

    Trojans get the bats going in this one and win over Concord 11-1 in 6 innings. Bain gets CG win. The Trojans will host Mt. Pleasant on Tuesday and travel to Tigerland on Friday.

    Rocky Mount 2 Forsyth Country Day 1 .....Benton Moss 2 2/3 inn Jeremy Johnson 4 1/3 inn at least 30 scouts at this game! Adam Griffin tossed 5 innings.

    Bucs shut down Covenant Christian (LA) with dominant pitching from Lee Harrison and a nice 13-hit offensive attack. Harrison struck out nine while walking only one and threw 68 strikes vs. only 16 balls!

    Fuquay mound was recently re-built and exactly to specifications. It appears high because the field slopes away from home plate. Everyone would love newer, higher lights but its tough to get during these times.

    How about the West Mecklenburg Hawks. According to the paper, they beat Marvin Ridge yesterday and they've also defeated South Mecklenburg. I saw them give East Mecklenburg everything they could handle in a 6-2 loss that was closer than the score indicates and came away impressed. They're always competitive, but it looks like they may have something special going on in Hawkland.
