    ...almost like watching another classic matchup between the lady blues and carolina cardinals. fun stuff!

    Interesting!

    Can you give us some details to this epic matchup? Would like to hear more of an explanation regarding your comparing these 2 schools playing against each other in softball, to the Lady Blues vs. Carolina Cardinals.

    ...both teams fielded several former blues and cardinal players. good to see all of them getting and education and getting to play fastpitch too! icing on the cake!

    Totally agree with you Thunderbird. It is great to see former Cards and Blues playing at the next level and advancing their education. In fact, the Lady Blues influence at Furman will grow even more next season, as two more players will enter as freshman this fall. The two young ladies are Natalie Clemmons of Northern Guilford HS, and Hope Smith of Mooresville. Best wishes to them as they finish up their high school career.

    I knew about Shelby, and totally forgot to mention her coming to Furman next fall as well. Thanks for the heads up.

    Great

    Like seeing all these NC kids playing college ball! Amber Kiser (fast as lightening) from N Meck was the beginning of the Blues going to Furman, one of the most beautiful schools in the country. Oh and not bad academically either!
    Stephanie Spain, (Spaino) and Taylor Beam are doing well. Spaino is starting and is playing as if she were an upperclassman. Her bat and glove has been stellar.
