2 ER for Powell. Weddington scored most of their runs on the two errors that were made. They did a great job of staying short and making solid contact throughout the lineup.

I think DC5 is saying only 2 earned runs not errors. - MP's two errors were on the Prillman's potential DP ball up the middle that resulted in no outs (when he or the runner that could have been forced out scored that became an unearned run). Langvine's SF should have been the third out of the innings so the run that scored on that SF as well as the following run on Shellhorn's base it was also unearned - 2 ER/3UR for the inning. The other error was on a wild relay throw back side that allowed a runner to advance a base but did not factor into any scoring.

    Butler 11 Rocky River 1

Butler wins late by scoring 9 in the 5th to end it on a wet, cold night at Butler. Dalton Eisenbath gives up lead off chopper off the plate for RR's only hit of the night. Dalt had 7k's and 1 walk not allowing a ball into the outfield in 5 innings for the win. Aj Larson hits a 2-run homer in the fifth to add to Butlers scoring. Larson, Eisenbath and Gehringer had two hits for the Bulldogs. Webcast is available on TBRPreps... Butler goes to N. Meck tomorrow.

    WP-Eisenbath (2-0)
    LP- Schuble

    Larson 2-3 (HR) 3 RBI
    Gehringer 2-3 RBI
    Eisenbath 2-3 (2B) RBI
    Hodge 1-2 3 RBI

    Ragsdale 13
    Parkland 0 6 innings

not a ton of details since I was at the JV game (JV Ragsdale won 7-1). Was surprised both these games got in due to the rain. Drizzled most of the JV game and got pretty steady at the end.

for the varsity read that Duncan Sparks pitched four innings, 2 hits with 11 Ks. Pretty strong for only four innings work. He's had a good start this season. Ragsdale now 3-2, 1-1 on the season.

Piedmont Triad 4A looks to be very tough and balanced again this year. East Forsyth will be good again. NW Guilford has some good pitchers - SW Guilford too. Although their sophomore ace, Matt Orth lost a 1-0 game last night to Glenn. Glenn - NWG was postponed tonight til tomorrow and NWG - SWG hook up Friday night. Going to be hard to win this conference.
