    They

are 1-3 but look at who they have played. There are teams with great records but who have they played? Isn't a teams record pretty much determined by who they play? If my team plays 20 games against the most pathetic teams in the state and we are 20 - 0 does that mean we are really good? If my team plays 20 games against the best teams in the state and we are 10 - 10 does that mean we are just average? I dont know how good they are on a national level. But they are really good. And I would be willing to bet when the season is played out their record is going to be pretty darn good.

As far as West vs East there is nothing stopping people from the East from coming on here and informing everyone about the players and teams from the East. Just because people from the West do a good job of getting the word out on players from their neck of the woods does not mean that the East is getting snubbed. Its just means there are less people on this site getting the word out on those players and teams.

As far as D1 signees a Coach or showcase program can pump up their players all they want. No college coach is going to put his job on the line because a showcase coach pumped up his players. They are signed because a college coach of a Major College program believes the kid can play. If a college coach is signing players because a showcase coach is pumping guys up he won't be around very long to coach them. I am sure these players would love to impress you. But I am even more sure they are glad they impressed a college coach enough to get that opportunity to play for their future coach. And after all thats all that really matters.

Two of their losses have been against teams using their top level pitchers sparingly. Rocky Mount used Moss for only 2 innings and Pinecrest used Maples for less than 4 innings. A team with the level of hitting and D1 signees should be scoring more runs, especially against lesser pitching.

I know it was probably tough to get the hitters dialed in against Pinecrest because the players were told to take pitches until they had 2 strikes. This has been comfirmed by the players and parents. This is a very talented team but I imagine it's tough to get motivated when you're told to take 2 strikes against great pitching. I wonder if this is a common strategy they are using in an effort to have the opposing pitcher reach his pitch count? This was their approach against Maples in the first game of the year with 45+ scouts in attendance to watch the handpicked D1 lineup that Forsyth Country Day has on the field.

This is a great team and should definitely win the 3A Private State Championship. However, the state championship runs through HP Wesleyan until FCD proves they can beat them is a series, not one game.

FCD has a great team, but I think one of their underclassman may turn out to be better than most of their signees.

The great thing about baseball in North Carolina, is that their is talent in the entire state. As far as a High School coach or Showcase coach talking up his players or promoting his players to college coaches, i thought that is what he is supposed to do. Anything he can do to get your son the opportunity to continue his education and play ball is great. Be thankful if your team coach does that because their are some who doesn't. As far as Forsyth Country being one of the best baseball teams in the country or North Carolina, that is just an opinion. They will lose games just like every team in North Carolina. I do know that there is not a team or coach in this state regardless of classification, that would want to play them in a series in order to go to the next round, I personally know, what kind of talent their is in the eastern part of the state, but a lot of posters here from the western part do not. So i welcome all postive promotions from you easterners so the people in the west can get to know these names of the players and teams.
