    Butler 7 East Meck 1

    Butler defeats East Meck 7-1 at Butler. Butlers offense was lead by catcher Aaron Bevis's 3-3 night including a 2 out, 2 run triple in the 5th to put the game out of reach. Chase Gehringer was also 3-3 with a double to deep center. Brandon McWhirter cruised to his 3 win of the season pitching a strong 6 innings, striking out 9 and walking 2. Brandon got out of a bases loaded, no out jam in the 6th by striking out 2 and forcing a ground out to second. Dalton Eisenbath closed the 7th with 3 up 3 down. Ryan Hodge provided web gem in first diving in hole and getting force at second to end inning with 2 on. Butler faces AK at Butler on Tuesday.

    Lloyd Davis gets the complete game W!

    Lloyd Davis was also 2-2 w/ a homerun and 4 ribbees to lead the Bruins along w/ Nathan Boykin (2-3 w/ 2 ribbees) & Cole Dudley (2-3)

    Spencer boykin (2-4), Parker Lamm (2-3), & Jacob Page (2-4) paced the Warriors.

    Beddingfield moves up to 5-3 on the season, while Hunt drops its first game of the year and is 6-1.

    Lake Norman Baseball

    Lake Norman defeated Hopewell 8-2 tonight at Hopewell. The Wildcats jumped out early to a 5-0 lead in the first two innings. John Stires started on the mound for the Wildcats and pitched great for 5 1/3, surrendering 5h and stirking out 5 for his 2nd win on the season. Alex Cagide came in the bottom of the 6th with the bases loaded and retired the next two batters to notch the save. Lake Norman tacked on 2 in the 5th and 1 in the 7. Lots of hits tonight throughout the lineup, a good win against a very good Hopewell team.

    I think that was the score, scoreboard went out in 6th. TC hit 5 hrs and scored 11 in the 1st.
