    C.B. Aycock 9 Southern Wayne 1

Aaron Champion (4-0) gets the W!

Cam Taylor & Jonathan Taylor both had 2 hits, while Bryant Stafford & Nick Walker both belted homeruns to lead Aycock at the plate.

Aycock now stands 10-2 (6-0 ECC), & Southern Wayne drops to 8-4 (4-2 ECC) at the halfway point of the conference season.

The PR pitcher did a great job of keeping the Weddington hitters off balance the whole night. Weddington's Prillaman gets one hit to center for Weddngton's only hit of the night. Between both teams, only 3-4 balls were hit hard all game. For the most part Weddington's Newsome pitched a solid game as well. The difference was that the few hits by PR went into the holes between the outfielder's and the infielder's reach.

The other key to the game for PR was the ability to play small ball. When it was clear not many runs were going to be scored, they were able to bunt and move the runners around to get them into scoring position. A well played game by PR.

When the field drys out, we'll get the rematch in. Based on the forecast, it looks like we can pencil this on in for sometime around mid-June.

    Hunt @ Rocky Mount

Tonight's Big East headliner between Wilson Hunt & Rocky Mount @ Gryphon Stadium has been moved to Saturday night due to the weather.
Might we now see Benton Moss again for the second time this week?

    Well written story, but...

NFHS is three defensive conferences in a seven inning game.
Unused conferences don't carry over into extra innings.
One conference per inning in extra innings.

The coach violated an NCAA and OBR rule by going twice in the same inning, but NFHS doesn't have a defensive conferences per inning limit, until extra innings.

Are you sure this wasn't in extra innings or three defensive conferences had already been charged to this team?
