Ryan Hodge to Gardner Webb University

    Congratulations to Ryan Hodge, (2011 On Deck O's, Butler H.S.), who verbally committed to Gardner Webb University. Ryan is an outstanding young man who has worked very hard on the field and in the classroom. Ryan is also an Eagle Scout! One of the best young men you could ever meet. We are very proud of Ryan and his decision to attend Gardner Webb. Congratulations to the Staff at Butler. Great kid, Great family!

    Ryan becomes the 34 member of the 2011 O's recruiting class.

    This is a hard working young ballplayer. I've spent some time talking with his dad at some of the various events. I'm sure he's very proud of this young man.

    Congrats Ryan, you deserve the best. Your hard work and love of the game have paid off and we wish you great things at Gardner Webb. Butler is very fortunate to have you. Your parents have raised a very solid young man and ball player.

    Last summer he hit a shot @ Wingate - when playing for Megastars -

    Man - can this guy hit -

    Nice kid and good ballplayer. Did he play for O's CBC AND Megastars? I did not realize Megastars were still around. Seemed to have dropped off the radar. Their web site seems dormant. Anybody know? ....:bounce:

    Paid, he played for the O's last summer and the Megastars before that. The O's and CBC have merged, that is why you see both logos. The Megastars are still around, Coach McNeely has a number of teams within different age groups.
