    Weddington vs Marvin Ridge

Great game tonight dominated by pitching and defense. Weddington wins 2-1 with a complete game victory from Jordan Newsome. Jordan had 7 strikeouts and allowed four hits and the one run was earned. Big night tonight for Andrew Knight the Warriors catcher who was 2 for 2 with a huge 2 run homer in the 3rd that accounted for all of the Warrior runs. He also threw a runner out at third on a steal attempt. A well played game tonight at Weddington.

    Lake Norman 3 Hopewell 0

Lake Norman wins against a tough I-Meck opponent in a great pitching match up between Taylor Thurber for Lake Norman and Hunter Conley for Hopewell.

Fun game to watch against these two rival teams. Brian Peart also pitched very well keeping weddington hitters off balance most of the night. With the exception of Andrew Knight's double in the first and hr in the 3rd there were not to many balls that were barreled up.

Rematch friday at Marvin. A Weddington win on friday will clinch the conference title.
