    East Meck v Ardrey Kell

EM 11 AK 7. The Eagles got a huge win against the nationally ranked Knights over at Ardrey Kell tonight. Logan Sherer set the tone wth a HR on the game's first pitch, as EM banged out hits up and down their order. David Daniels continued on the tear that garnered the MVP trophy at the CBC Spring Break Classic with a Double and a 3 run Dinger and Justin Strong also had 2 big hits. EM pitcher Lou Trosch gutted it out (literally, as we watched him throw up behind the dugout between every inning) for the win and Ian Ashworth earned the save. The ball was flying out of the park tonight and the Knights also had a couple of Home Runs from Logan Ratledge and Mike Shadday. AK battled the entire night, but couldn't ever quite get over the hump after the Eagles put 5 runs up in the second inning. Trent Thornton took the loss for AK.

    Providence 4 Butler 2

Butler took a tough loss at Providence last evening. Ty Buttrey improved to 7-2 for the season going the whole way with 9k's. Dalton Eisenbath handcuffed PVD for 4 innings only giving up 2 infield hits as he went into the bottom of the 5th leading 1-0 on AJ Larsons solo HR to center. PVD loaded the bases in the inning and with one out Jake Fincher singled to left plating 2 runs. Butler then cut off the throw home and overthrew 2nd allowing 2 unearned runs to score making it 4-1. Matt Baltimore relieved Eisenbath and finished the game on the mound for Butler. The Bulldogs added a run late and loaded the bases in the seventh but failed to score. Needless to say a gutty performance by both teams.
