Yes. Catholic's Daniel Stewart just signed with Flagler College in St. Augustine, FL. He had offers fro Francis Marion and Wingate among others. Great pitcher but an even better kid!!!!

Not that exciting? A couple outstanding defensive plays by SS and 3rd baseman from SM in big spots. Great complete game pitching performances by Myers Park's Rowe and South Meck's Pearlman. Rivalry atmosphere on the field and in the stands. MP posts five runs in the 6th to take the lead 5-3. I personally thought that was a very exciting game. Both teams fought very hard.

Thanks, Braves!...the team has very good chemistry and gets production up and down the lineup. You are right, Langdon is one of the best hitters around...doesn't try to do much, content with gap shots and an abundance of line drives....great 2-strike hitter, too. To win the title, Country Day had to win it's last two games against a scrappy Providence Day team. The win on Thursday night brought Coach Hennessey his 100th career victory at Country Day and the win last night brought him his first conference title. The team played both games with only a single error, scored three runs in the opening frame of both games, and flashed the leather repeatedly to support solid pitching. Probably the only team in the state where you may occasionally see a middle infield combination from Japan and Italy!

    Butler vs. Providence

Who seen last nights game between Butler and Providence? How did Butler only score one run? I seen the webcast link today and it say's Herbert struck out 12....is that right?? When's the last time Butler struck out 12 times in a game? What happened? Someone who was there please shed some light.
