    North Davidson defeated Butler 4-1.

Landon Lassiter (UNC) started the 1st inning with a HR for ND and Zach Redmond also had a HR. Clark Beeker (Davidson) got the win while throwing a complete game and overall, it was a solid win for the Black Knights.

Tomorrow should be a great one between McCue and Ramsey.

Can anyone confirm the time on the Watauga/Porter Ridge game? It says 7:00 on the NCHSAA website but I don't think they have lights.

Would have to think that is a 4:30 start. Porter Ridge doesn't have lights.

    Scrappy and Proud

Hats Off to a very good Glenn baseball team for a great season. I witnessed a scrappy and proud group of young men that will only get better next year.

They were fast and aggressive and covered a lot of ground in the outfield.

To the young man who stood tall at second base and let everyone know he was a competitor - keep your passion and leadership - it will serve you well.

    Unsung Heroes and Regulars

    AK vs. Glenn

Unsung hero - Collin Keefer with outstanding defensive plays at third base last night.

Momentum Changers - Thornton pick off at second base with bases loaded; Thornton strike out of Glenn batter after a "break" in the action for third out of inning.

Bats - 3-hole Alex Leach delivers and newcomer Thomas Nantz steps up at key spot in DH role

Regular's best - Thornton delivers his best performance of the season - 10 k's to no walks and clutch pitches at key times in the game.

Thanks. That last point is well taken. I think that's the way they like it. I'll talk about them a little after tonight.

Glenn HS Coach - Class Guy!

Heard the Glenn HS Coach gave a heartfelt and attaboy speach to the AK boys on their bus after the game. Very classy! That, Gentleman, is a man you WANT to play for. And his young men showed that on the field. They, Glenn, are a young team with HUGE upside in the coming years. Best to them!
