    Marvin Ridge over Parkwood 7-6

    MR got 2 in the 1st, with the 2nd run coming off of a STEAL of home, 4 more in the 3rd. Parkwood fought back with 1 in the 4th, 2 in the 6th and 3 in the 7th to tie. MR then loaded the bases with one out and Tyler Chadwick hit a ground ball to short to bring home the winning run when the catcher couldn't handle the throw to the plate. Brian Peart pitched a complete game for MR.

    Those scores are very interesting. Keep those updates coming! The weather looks terrible toward Guilford County. Is Rodon on the hill for HS?

    Rodon started. Not sure if he's still pitching.

    Great game. MR really came out swinging the bats today and went up 6-0 and Peart seemed to be cruising. But so much credit has to go to Parkwood for not quitting and battling back to tie the game in the 7th.
    A couple of notes:
    1. The straight steal of home by Josh Ferguson in the first was amazing in and of itself. What made it even more so was that the batter had 2 strikes. Fortunately for Ferguson, the batter (I think it was Chadwick) was left handed and saw him coming.
    2. Huge crowd there. People everywhere, especially Parkwood people. They owned the area behind the backstop and were very loud and supportive.
    3. The MR people said that was Chadwick's third walk off RBI in the last month. It made up for the error he made in the top of the 7th, which the MR folks said was his first error all season !! (He did start a rally killing, double play in the 5th with a great play)

    All in all, a real fun day at the ball field.
