    Why is everyone so uptight?

It is only a GAME meant for everyone to enjoy watching kids PLAY and to take some pressure off the real daily struggles of life!

Trust me there is no reason to lose sleep or snap at each other over the playoffs! WINNING at life is much more important.

Amen, Stretchy... Saw a sight that really made me stop and think last weekend.

As my youngest son was getting ready to play in a youth league game. A man who must have been in his late 30's or early 40's was sitting under a shade tree - most likely getting ready to watch someone he knew play as well. The only thing was - this gentleman was in a wheelchair. Both legs had been amputated and while many were whining and complaining about the heat, the umpires or even the parking place they had that day, this man was using every bit of energy he had just to wheel himself around to watch kids play "a game".

Don't know his situation - but it made me wonder, if he had been in an automobile accident, injured serving our country or maybe the result of some crippling disease such as diabetes.

So when we feel "heated" and want to fire back - think about that man - who I am sure would love to be able to play the game and maybe he did one day. But for now, has to enjoy it for what it is - "a game".

It's funny how that works though. You can take a "professional" with an emotional investment in the game and he/she can completely change their personality. I remember a captain for the highway patrol lose it.....I mean he probably felt like arresting every opposing fan at the game because they were ringing cow bells.

If his son wasn't playing, he probably would have laughed at the situation, but....I suggested to him (after he calmed down somewhat) to patrol the area in Rowan county to see if he could find tj21. I remarked that I was sure tj was up to no good.:N1oldschool:
