    Winston-Salem won 11-1 over High Point in a league game today. Wes Helsabeck winning pitcher and Sean Geoghagen losing pitcher. Winston-Salem now 2-0 in league play. Non-league tomorrow night at Home versus Thomasville-Davidson at Mount Tabor.

    Mooresville Post 66 over South Rowan 7-4. Keith Little (MHS, UNCG) started the game going five innings giving up 2 runs while striking out 3 before handing the ball to AJ Nelson (MHS, St. Scholastica) who went 2 innings, giving up 2 runs and striking out 2. Alex Cagide (LNHS) closed out the game, going the final 2 innings. Michael Knight (LNHS) hit first home run of the season for the Moors. Moors will have rematch tomorrow at South Rowan.

    Mooresville Post 66 over South Rowan 5-2. Joey McAlpine (LNHS) started the game before handing the ball off to Joshua Holcomb (MHS) who threw 2 strong innings before Nick Keith (Georgia) closed it out. Jake Beaver (MHS/UNCP) hit a 400 foot bomb to South Rowans deep right field. Post 66 will play the Mooresville Legends in an in town battle at Lake Norman High School Friday night at 7.

    Post 8 Lexington beats High Point 7-0

    Post 8 Lexington opens up league play with a 7-0 win against High Point. Post 8 goes 1-0 in league play and 2-0 overall. Ramsey(UNC-W) throws 6 no-hit innings with 17 K's to begin the game. Lexington closed it out in the ninth with back to back to back homers from Jake White, Dustin Murphy and Noah Shepherd.

    Thomasville defeats Winston-Salem

    Thomasville-Davidson defeated Winston-Salem 13-11 in a non league contest. Homeruns by Tyler Lequire, Justin Mounts, and Austin Cole. Thomasville is now 1-1, all in non league play.

    Rowan County wins 16-6 over Mooresville Legends in 7 innings to start the year.

    Western Forsyth @ Thomasville/Davidson

    WF 1-0 Conference 5-2 overall

    Summary Below:

    Western Forsyth Post 522 needed 10 innings on Thursday to take down Thomasville/Davidson 5-3 at Ledford HS.

    With the game scoreless in the first inning hit a sacrifice fly, plating Hunter Dull.


    Western Forsyth Post 522 was paced by the production of Matt Rembielak, who reached base four times. Rembielak doubled in the first inning and singled in the third inning.



    Brent Morgan pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, three hits and three walks while striking out five.



    Brock Phillips led Thomasville/Davidson's offensive threat, as he got on base two times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. Phillips homered in the eighth inning.



    Cody Beck allowed three earned runs, seven hits and four walks while striking out five.


    Rembielak, Alex Smith, Morgan, Max Uhlig, Josh Clark, and Ryan Mayhew all collected hits for Western Forsyth Post 522. Uhlig led the team with three hits.

    South Rowan showed some muscle last night. It just was not enough against a talented team.
