Way to go lady cougars congrats on number 7. Christina Krider has a bright future as a lady cougar. She's got some great talent as only a freshman.

It was a great game, I do have a ? What is the rule on JV's dressing in varsity games, I know some schools dress a lot of their jv's for both games.

    Congrats to all the teams

I don't know if JV's dressing out counts as time played especially in post season but it is mostly for JV girls to get the experience of being at the big game so if their time comes it limits the anxiety. Plus the added noise from the dugout doesn't hurt either.

    JV? What does it mean?

I would be surprised if NCHSAA rules say much of anything about this. I don't think there are roster limits for sports.

This is my 1st oppurtunity to get on TBR since arriving back from Raleigh late last night. Congratulations to ND! What fortitude to beat Erica Nunn and Chelsea Wilkinson back to back on a pretty hot day...an amazing feat in itself...then to have to face Wilkinson for a 3rd time....what a great job Eliza Davis did and I told her so after the game!....ND rocked Wilkinson for 10 hits that 2nd game and I'm not sure if she's ever given up 10 hits in a game, I'm not sure, but I doubt it!...an emotional, intense, well played game by 2 fantastic programs and 2 iconic coaches...between the 2, Lambros and Sherrill, someone told me they have over 1300 victories! Amazing! I've seen the stuff written earlier about "stars" wearing elbow braces and other support measures, and yes Chelsea wears one....because of a "shot" she took off it earlier in the season....most of you know that 1/4 inch neoprene is not gonna support much, its more of an "security blanket" than anything else, and if that is a "sore" subject with you, then why are batters allowed to wear the elbow armour? For protection, thats why...'nuff' said!...and about Monty....yep, he is vocal, he is demanding and very regimented....he is a former marine, what else would you expect, and before you say, "yeah, but he shouldnt conduct his team that way", it would be obvious that you never served a stint in the marines or the army....its nothing like that, and the girls that have played for him, former or present will tell you what a thrill it was/is playing for him...he loves those girls! They come 1st....they have the best of everything...uniforms, equipment....parent volunteers that bend over backwords to keep Central Park one of the top H.S. fields in the country! Our kids pray before games, and stand at attention during the National Anthem till the last note is played, while some of your kids are breaking off early to head to the dugout....our fans are zealous, rabid at times...you would be too if you were 31 and 2! I'm not being a smarta**, look at Independence and Butler in football, AC Reynolds and any other school that have such tradition in sports...just like you, we kinda live and die with our teams and there's nothing wrong with that! Kinda like pulling for Carolina or Duke come basketball season, somebody is going to win, someone has to lose! And just like you, we like to win...Monty has a knowledge and passion for softball like no other! And if that upsets some folks, then so be it. We here know the man...his love of God, country, Alexander Central and Alexander County...we're a little one H.S. town here in T-ville and we dont get to pick and choose, we live hard, we play hard and we do the best we can with what we got....and its awfully hard to argue with 7 state titles....all that being said....congrat's to all the teams that made it to Raleigh....Congrats to Monty Sherrill, his coaching staff and the Lady Cougars!....and ready or not, were gonna show up in 2012

    total games

I think the poster is referring to maximum # of games played in a season between varsity & JV. There is a rule that limits this, but I do not know the details of what constitutes "playing".
