    I know its a showcase but they still have an elimination format . . . thank heaven . . . . I like winners! I really think it's good for girls to 'play to win'. They certainly will be expected to do so in college.

    Carolina Angels - SC @ Dynamite

    Bracket play:
    Angels 3 Triangle Lightning 1
    Angels 5 Team TFS 0

    Play was halted on Saturday night during the 5:30 game due to storms. Games resumed this morning at 7:00am.

    Where are the college coaches?

    If this list represents the true picture then things have really changed since my DD played there. Only one SEC/ACC school? Is this a product of early recruiting?

    It's not only the showcases that have changed, to some degree, Duke...you could say the same about this board. A couple years back this board was exploding with blow-by-blows of the showcases, with folks "calling in" updated scores on a regular basis.

    I sure do miss those days.

    From the friends I have down there this year, I have heard there were coaches there, not as many as in years past...and no one ran into one of the Major SEC/ACC schools recruiting. Could have been the time their teams were there...or it could have been they simply never came by.

    Lots of coaches

    It was the best college coach turnout in a few years. We were very pleased.
    Congrats to the Carolina Curve winning it all. They were the best hitting team down there (that I saw) this weekend. Katie and Lexi pitched really well too! They recorded some very impressive victories.

    The Curve knocked us out 9-2 around lunch time.
    According to Jeff, they beat the Carolina Gators 10-2 or something like that. The Gators hit quite a few homeruns today that I saw. They looked pretty good too.
    The Curve bats were on fire. Even the outs were hard. We just didn't have enough for them today.

    Congrats Curve

    Nice job Jeff and the Curve for bringing home the hardware and playing some great ball.They did defeat the Gators 10-2.The Gators played well hitting 3 homeruns the game before the championship hats off to them as well.Jeff we are still waiting for you to let the big girls go and Coach these 12u Curve girls with us.

    2AM, and just got back from the Dynamites after a celebration dinner!, Still trying to get over the shock of being the first ever NC team to win this prestigeous tournament. I have never been more proud to be associated with a group of girls in my entire life. This weekend was truely amazing with a fairy tale ending for sure. These 12 young ladies came to play for 11 games including 5 on Sunday. The Curve went 10-1 outscoring thier opponents 92-11. Thanks to the Georgia Fire for putting on another great tournament. And thanks to all the teams, parents and players for an awesome time.

    I believe you meant they went 10-0-1 and outscored their opponents 92-6.......... CONGRATS Curve ...thats is if your scores are correct...................AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
