East Coast Elite Showcase
This tournament is open to 16U & 18U teams only.

East Coast Elite Combine
On Friday, August 5th, players will run through position specific drills, hitting stations, as well as agility/speed courses. The combine will finish Friday evening.

Tournament Format:
This is a 6GG showcase event. Teams must apply and prepay by July 1st, 2011.
All games will be 1:10 drop dead. Batters with start with a 1 ball/1 strike count. Offensive teams will also start with runner of first. Pitchers will throw to six batters per inning. If three outs are achieved before the sixth batter is faced, any runners on the bases will stay at the bags and the inning will continue until the sixth batter has completed her at bat. This format allows for college coaches to see the team in various defensive situations, encourages base stealing for runners/catchers to show off their speed/arm. It also places teams in various defensive positions and allows more options for the offensive side of the game.

Itinerary:
Play will begin at 8:30am
Park gates will be open at 7:00am

Awards:
The first 25 teams to be accepted into the tournament will receive 3 Reebok Cage jackets for the coaching staff. An All-Tournament team will be selected. Member's of the All-Tournament Team will receive East Coast Elite All-Tournament Team Hooded Sweatshirts.

At select tournaments USSSA is offering teams the chance to compete for a VISA Gift Card worth up to $1,000 dollars.

Actual amount will depend on the amount of teams signed up. See details below.

0-5 Teams = Normal awards package.
6-7 Teams = $500
8-9 Teams = $750
10+ Teams= $1,000

USSSA "Powered by Under Armour" Series

The USSSA Fall State Powered by Under Armour gives teams the chance to earn a complete Under Armour Uniform package.




The UA Uniform package consists of:

• 15 Shoes (Cleats or Turf)
• 24 Jerseys
• 24 Shorts
• 12 Bat Bags
• 6 Coach's Shirts
• 6 Coach's Shorts

You must qualify for the USSSA Fall State Powered by Under Armour.

Teams placing 1-4 in any of the qualifier tournaments will be qualified. Teams finishing with a 1st Place finish will receive a paid berth to the Fall State. At-Large berths may be awarded.

July 2-3rd and July 9-10th Softball Tournament in Sophia, NC.

We have had several very good baseball tournaments this year but we keep getting asked about softball so we are going to give it a try. Our trophy packages are excellent and everyone is happy with the fields and service so here we go with a softball attempt.

8U Coach Pitch - 100.00
10U Fast Pitch - 125.00

All tournament formats are pool play into brackets on Saturday then single elimination on Sunday. ALL CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES are at 6PM and we will cut off our maximum teams to accomplish this goal. Everyone seems to love this part as no one wants to leave late on Sunday.

1st and 2nd place teams will receive team and individual awards and all players entered into tournament will receive a T-Shirt just for being there.

The 49ers Softball Staff



The 49ers Softball program will be hosting a 10u and 14u one day round robin tournament at UNC Charlotte Softball Diamond on Oct. 22. We are offering 2 games on our field, entry fee includes- umpires, full scoreboard and press box announcer, player coach during warm up in cages and the opportunity to play on a college field. We are looking for at least one more team in each age group.

 

Team Needed for GMAC Furman Showcase, 10/1 & 2

Due to a team having to drop, there is a need for a 16U or 18U team to participate in this weekends Gmac Sports Furman Showcase in Greenville, SC, Oct 1 & 2. No Friday night play. 4 game guarantee (2 pool games followed by double elimination bracket. Cost is $40 per game. All games to played at the beautiful Greenville Tech Sports Complex.

Colleges will be playing at the Greenville Tech Sports Complex during this tournament, so there will be college coaches on site.

BENEFIT SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT $100 ENTRY FEE

Morgan Craven Fundraising Tournament
Morgan is a 9 year old young lady who lives in the southeast community and has a
rare seizure disorder. After spending many weeks at Brenner's’ Children's Hospital,
she is currently in a rehabilitation facility in Charlotte and will need additional care
once released.
We are hosting a tournament at Pleasant Garden Community Center to assist the
family in raising money to help pay for her care and family expenses her insurance
won’t cover as they are adding up very quickly. All funds raised will go to the
family. The fields have been donated to us by PGCC and the ground maintenance
by Stanley Lawn Care.​

Concessions will be available at the field. They have agreed to donate 10% of their
earnings to the funds also. A 50/50 drawing will also be held !
Teams of all ages and abilities are encouraged to attend – this will be a fun day of
softball/baseball that kids can enjoy and learn about helping others while they are
doing it. It will raise money for a family in need while we can teach our children
about sportsmanship and community outreach.
