son got his first request via e mail to fill out a recruiting questionnaire this past week and one question perplexed me... it asked to name the 3 best HS players in your area. My son is a humble kid who wouldnt think of putting his name in that space but is this a trick question?

It seemed very odd to me.. never ran across anything like this in my daughter's recruitment. Advice appreciated...

It really is nothing to be concerned with. It appears in most questionnaires. The coaches like to know of the top players he has played with/against for many reasons; One reason is to see if they need to put those recommended kids on their radar.

As you know, the questionnaire is a starting place--it means your son is on their radar and it allows them to let you know they have interest.

The funny thing is in this day and age-- with the internet-- not many kids slip through the cracks anymore. But that question can still help them in their recruiting whether it be your son or one he has played with/against. Welcome to the beginning of another recruiting experience. Enjoy the ride!!!
