Quick note about East Meck

    We held the rained out makeup Class of 2011 Battle of the Border game at East Meck last night. That ballfield is so special! Coach Koppe and his crew had the place looking in prime condition in the middle of the summer!

    Folks will have to look far and wide to find many high school ballfields that have the same charm and look of East Meck.

    Its hard to go there, whether in April or mid summer and not feel good about what Coach Koppe, The Little's and all the good folks at EM are doing.

    Battle of the Border

    Coach Koppe has done an incredible job with the entire Eagle program! He and Coach Robertson spent an incredible time getting the field ready for the Battle of the Border on short notice. It sure showed, as Coach Dave Jones Field was in beautiful shape for the 2011 all-star game. During the game the players put on a great show for all who attended. They played most of the game straight-up and showed why they're going on to the next level. Then Coach Koppe and Coach Knight let the guys have a little fun in the last inning. Picture Ardrey Kell's Brett Lang on the bump and South Mecklenburg lefty Chris Pearlman at shortstop to get the idea.

    South Charlotte Sports put on a great event and everyone enjoyed watching the class of 2011 go out with a bang. :scholar: :invasion:

    Senior game is always my favorite,, throw in Logan Ratledge catching for Brett Lang and a few other unique positions!

    Its so much fun having this game.

    We are going to add a little more flavor to the senior game next year and really try to send these kids off the right way.

    Coach Koppe and the EM team have my support across the board! I cant wait until next years spring break tournament!

    Keep the announcer

    Mr. Lou Trousch did another outstanding job on the mike during the senior event. He is a natural. He even brought out the playlist he utilizes in his courtroom. Good job Lou. I wish you could of said a few more nicknames for Brett. Too funny.
