"It" happens

Tried to lsten online.... Got something to play but the only thing playing was elevator music at 7pm and a little after. Anybody ever used Teamline successfully?

there's no box score on pointstreak either. Anybody have that?

Ok, i found box score although the play-by-play stops in the 8th

Looks like RHP Justin Johnson (Aggies) did a great job keeping Pineville off balance thru 6 1/3, with 3K's, 4 hits, 1BB, and no runs. Lots of 1st pitch swinging strikes early on. Although Pineville threatened in the 3rd and 4th innings, looks like solid play behind him. Keep working hard kid.

I use Teamline all the time. One time, the game I was trying to get was not broadcasting - I called the Teamline help number, and actually got to talk to someone who said the announcer at that game had not called in (so they had no connection) and they left him a message. But the game was never broadcast.

Last night at Morganton, Aggie annoucer Harvey Daw was having trouble with connection to Teamline, but ended up calling Teamline on his cell phone, and he was on the air at about 7:10, and did the whole game through his cell phone - another great job - love listening to him.

And believe it or not, the Pointstreak system was working fine, and actually included the 9th inning, but about 5 minutes after the game ended, it reverted back to ending in the 8th ??? I know everyone in Morganton wished it had ended in the 8th !!!

Both starting pitchers, Johnson and B. Kilway for Pineville, pitched well, but neither figured in the decision.

• If it had ended in the 8th, that would have been Justin Johnson's 3rd win. But....you win and loose as a team.
• I gave up on Teamline at 7:10 and started a pitching workout.
• Poinstreak play by play looks awesome, very discriptive.
• Mr. Daw sounds like a great guy.

Can't wait for the All-Star game at Winthrop on July 13th. Wonder when and how we'll find out the selections?

 

Harvey Daw ( TBR's The Captain) is simply the best. I hope he never retires from announcing the games. He has a smooth, relaxed and descriptive way in calling his games. One feels like they are at the game....and he has a great sense of humor. Morganton is lucky to have him.

Teams in the league need to realize the importance of the "voice' of their teams.
Harvey at Morganton and Craig at Statesville are definitely guys that are recognizable with their voices (and yes, at times, their homerisms), but I like that. They love their teams and they want the fans to love them, too.

 

It will be posted on the league website. But the coaches will know the selections prior. Maybe we can get one to post it on here early...or they can contact me and I will post it.

 

Aggies have won 3 of their last 4 including a split with the East Division Leading Lake Norman Copperheads and a sweep of Fort Mill. Back to division play on Monday at Shuey Field as the Aggies host the Carolina Chaos.

 

Pineville Pioneers weekend

Pineville drops 2 games to the Chaos on Friday night and wins 2 games from the Redbirds last night. More importantly, two more Pineville players went down with injuries. Hopefully the remainder of the roster will stay healthy for the rest of the season.

 

Dang, I hate that. Who are the players? Statesville lost their captain, fan favorite and one of their best clutch hitters in Belmont Abbey's Joey Frabisile.
