Round 1 - Cherryville vs Pineville

Braves...it made quite a rumble all the way in Wiscy...the cheese eating and beer drinking stopped momentarily till everything was confirmed and than it was right back at it.

 

Wow..first post was to attack a coach...ouch!

 

I love that! All too often an umpire is strictly business from top 1 to bottom 9, I like that Mr. Bumgarner recognized an amazing performance by the Union County kid that hit the 3 dingers and acknowleged it in a way that I'm sure the player appreciated. I just hope that Union County bat has cooled off by the time it gets to C'ville tonight.

 

KB is one of the best. Taking cheap shots at him on TBR is below the belt.

It's a fact that BDR is one of the best coaches in the state. I was at the game when the Pineville coach was ejected and he made a complete ass out of himself and his players followed suit. I'm sure it's tough for the kids from Pineville to ride all the way to C-ville and get their asses handed to them by a bunch of Country Boys!!!! ​

 

I was not at the game on that night. I was sick and unable to attend. I listened to the first part on the Radio and heard the young man get removed from the game for drawing a line in the other batters box. I was asleep when the ruckus occured but was given quite a story the next day about the uproar. The ball was hit down the left field line and really high in the air for what appeared to be a two run homerun that would have put Pineville ahead at that point in the game. The umpire called the ball foul and this caused the coach from Pineville to come out to "discuss" the call. Now in baseball the managers are allowed a little "discussion time" with the umpire but from what I hear he was highly upset. The coach was ejected, which is his right, but the part that bothered me is that the players were throwing stuff on the field. Several ejections later the game was called due to Pineville not having enough players to continue. I think you have to have atleast nine?

I will say that some of the Pineville players were a bit talky toward the fans and the Cherryville coach in game two. I just hope that they get things straightened for themselves before it effects the rest of there lives.

Us Legion people are glad you don't work Legion either, have not read the thread, but have seen what you have posted in the past about legion and knew it would be nothing good.
