    Congratulations to the Carolina Curve for winning the Hot Times Classic! All the North Carolina teams showed really well. It was a great weekend of softball. Great job ladies!

    I would like to give a shout out to our girls for a fantastic weekend in Florence! I hope this tournament can continue to hold it's own with the other tourneys. I wouldn't wish Atlanta on anybody, and not real fond of Raleigh, but Rock Hill is awesome! They hit the ball, made plays, and pitched very well. We had a tough draw in the the 2nd bracket game vs. Dixie Chicks, and their Virginia Tech (pitcher) commitment. The Curve got them next, so that little bracket was tough, but oh well:

    Thanks for the congrats!, the Heat had an outstanding weekend, as we got to watch several of your games. It was another grueling effort on Sunday as we had to win 5 strait games. But our kids fault hard all the way to the end. We had a few girls missing and several others stepped up to the plate. All 11 girls made huge contributions all weekend. We had three girls hitting their first homeruns of the summer (Kaitlin Thompson (2), KC Shue, and Cheyenne Griffin) also great effort on the mound from Katie Carnes and Lexi Shubert, good defense with Karsen Leonhardt laying out all over the field with ESPN catches. We played several great teams including the final two nailbiting games. Look foward to going to Raliegh next weekend.

    Hey, if it was their first HR's of the season, just wait til they get to hit a real ball, haha. The balls were synthetic leather, and didn't have any pop at all. There were 2 HR's in our last game (one for each side), and that was the only 2 in our games all weekend. I actually didn't mind it because it was the same for both sides, but home runs would have been probably 5 fold with a normal ball. We have not had good balls at any of the 3 tourneys we have played this summer. It may be a trend? It would certainly eliminate some of the bat concerns!

    I keep hearing the Curve is done after this year,is there any truth to it?
