Been away from the computer for a while. First off congrats to you and your guys on your state title in Havelock. Disappointing run for CP. The guys never seemed to get a hit at the right time. I think we left the bases loaded like 7 times in 4 games. We also never seemed to come together as a team. Good luck in Va. You seem to have passed the first test avoiding mobile in pool play. Once again best of luck and represent ENC.

    Tri 9 Conference!

Good luck to you guys in Virginia! Hope the momentum continues.

It is impressive to think that the Babe Ruth team that is representing Eastern North Carolina in the regional is made up of players mostly from the Tri 9 conference (not to mention the head coach). Then, you add in the fact the legion team headed to the state tournament is mostly kids who played in that same conference--well it seems really impressive.

There is a ton of depth coming out of that conference and we are seeing it in the success of these two summer teams.

Clay Council will be throwing to the Triangle players who enter the HR Derby Wednesday Night in South Hill. Little different stage than the last HR Derby he took part in huh?

Likely HR Derby Participants for Triangle All-Stars..
    Jimmy Boyd (Middle Creek '12)
    Tony Ayala Sanchez (Cary '12)
Charlie Parsons (Wake Tech CC '12)

Hot Corner Dad -- Thanks. You're right. It's very impressive. 17 of the 18 players on the Triangle All-Stars made up the Town of Cary Senior Babe Ruth team. Speaking of Cary Area baseball, don't forget that the Cary JR Legion team is currently 2-1 in the State Tournament out in Hickory. Impressive summer.

    I know I was impressed

He sounds like just the kind of coach a parent would want his kid to play for. Congrats to Jere and Cary Babe Ruth on the great run. Keep it up!:xyxthumbs:

    Coach Morton

Sounds like a fun coach to have. High school ball can be tough with demanding coaches that push for excellence on and off the field in their pursuit to make their players into young men. What a nice break for the players of Cary to have a low stress summer team to help revive their love of the game.
