I have just returned from the beach and had time to reflect on the NPF event held at North. Everything about these young Ladies, coaches, and their staffs was amazing. From the time they arrived on Monday until they pulled out on Thursday night each one of them had shown great Class. How when they came to the meet and greet at the beginning they wanted to be with the fans not separating themselves .The amazing thing was the passion each one had for this wonderful game and the willingness they had to share it. Their smiles and cutups with each other reminded me of how lucky we are to be around kids no matter what age they are. From 8 to 108 and how our kids can possibly get to this special place. After it ended the owner of the Bandits told me how special North Carolina was and we needed a team. He said that he had special time here being treated truly like Professionals. It did not matter if they had played at UCLA, Florida, Texas A&M, Tennessee,UNC,and many more places they loved it here. The President Sherry Kempf was in attendance and was impressed. I would like to give a special thanks to all our Players, Parents,Security, and anyone who helped for a job well done. To all the fans who traveled great distances to see these great players in action. Also to Triadsportscoverage.com for the great job of broadcasting and providing the jumbotron. Thanks Mike and Greg. Also the many vendors who were there. To "Chief" Gerald for starting the ball rolling. As I stood on the field and watched the last autograph session I saw players running bases with 4 and 5 year old kids, Monica Abbott signing one right after another autograph, and players taking pictures with tons of folks I knew North Carolina had been a good host. So good they both want to come back next season. So lets show our support for these grand young ladies for they deserve it.Go on the NPF sight and look at the 20 for 20. Also see if we can bring a team back to NC. Thanks Ladies of the NPF for some life long memories. Also the Class, Commitment, and Character you all bring every time you play the game both during and after.
    Sincerely
    Mike Lambros

Coach Lambros couldn't have said it better. Being a part of the NPF event is something I'll remember for a very long time. Having a daughter who plays this terrific sport, I look forward to telling my grandchildren about seeing these professional women having fun and playing hard.....all for the love of the game. (I'm in no rush for grandchildren, mind you!! Let's get the girl out of college first!) I really enjoyed seeing the players having fun with the future softball players. I'm already looking forward to helping out next year.

It was truly a great event! How cool would it be for NC to have a team??? There is plenty of talent in our state to put on a roster. Let's shoot for it!
