    What's going on over at A&T? I thought I remember hearing several weeks back that Shumate had stepped down. I can't find anything about it online though and seems as if nobody is talking about A&T having an opening.

    I do not understand the delay in naming new Coach. They have known Shumate was resigning effecive July 31 since March or April. I know Coach Love has been recruting hard and is bringing in some good ball players. If Coach Love is going to be the man why not annouce it Aug 1st. Kids report to school this week and he needs to get his staff together.

    My Son will be a incoming Freshman baseball player and he was recruited by Coach Love. We hope Coach Love gets the opportunity to be Head Coach. He is a very energetic,passionate and knowledgeable young Coach with deep roots at A&T and he bleeds Blue and Gold. My Wife and I were really impressed with him and he stressed developing productive young men not just ballplayers which was important to us. I know Shumate felt he was ready. Hopefully the new AD follows through and names him Coach real soon and gives him and the program the support it needs to be successful. If all the kids return from last year with the new kids he has recruited I think they have enough pieces in place to make a little noise and surprise some folks!

    waiting so long to name a head coach will kill/is killing recruiting for at least the next year, and probably two or more. I don't know what they are waiting for. Love seems like a good guy, but has no experience as a head coach. I know there were a few very qualified candidates with HC experience that applied. I am anxious to see who will be officially named.
