Not the 2013. The 2012 CBC team is fantastic. As all are. Combining CBC and On deck makes for a really strong Org.

    all take a deep breath

no one slamed cbc/o's any of the 4 players clearly stated that Josh is a very good player......no one claimed that panthers are unbeatable......did watch them play 4 games against cbc over summer Panthers were 3-0-1...CBC "B" team got the tie. Question was more to origional post calling this "All American" team and wondering why this region was not better represented by the top organizations...with the exception of cbc no top organizations were represented. this does not take away anything from the 4 players chosen. I am sure they can play or wouldnt be at cbc. All ready? BREATH!

    I'm breathing. Funny line, actually.
My point is ---what is showcase baseball? and what is it really about for most?
Getting good young players to the next level and making better Men out of boys in the process. Who does it better in North Carolina or the southeast really?
Hit this link and tell me if the CBC O's are not a top organization with 44 scholarships in 2011 and 8 already in 2012. That's getting in done---Brother.

I think anyone on this board would agree that North Carolina is overflowing with extremely good baseball talent. The majority of our colleges can complete the biggest portion of their roster's right here in our own state - and many do just that. We are also fortunate to have several top quality showcase teams for these young men to participate with - each having their own specific needs to help them develop enough to reach that "next level". Each team offers different levels of instruction and development and some are merely to be seen - but whatever works for your situation is what it best. As with most showcase teams - the ultimate prize is getting these young men an opportunity to "play in college or beyond".

I will say that Bo Robinson has personally invested many hours in developing kids on the CBC/O's not to mention numerous kids on the South Charlotte Panthers as well. They are all good players and many will go on to play at another level. And when they do - we will all cheer them as "another NC boy" no matter what showcase or college team they came from.

Thanks to all the showcase men involved - who do things and teach "the right way".

    hoax

from what i can tell this is pay to play sort of deal. this is not even the legitament all american tournement. no offense to any of the players because i am sure many of them were talented athletes, but where are the dirtbags and panthers in this? and what about KJ woods? KJ is on the USA team so u would think he would be an all american. i guess he doesnt want to pay for glory...

    Really?

I have no dog in this fight but.....based on your rationale, almost every event using a title with the words "Top Prospect" or "National anything" is a hoax. Are you really upset about the name of this event? Is it that important? The players who went didn't name it. Obviously, the SEC and ACC (and other) coaches who were there were real. The exposure the players who participated received was real. What else matters? There were a lot of great players not there. So what? Not all the top players from North Carolina play on the same showcase team either. So what?

    Who is Prospectwire?

Was just reading through this site and it would seem that we have started out getting a bad rap just because people don't know who we are. We have been doing this for over six years across the country and very successfully.

As many of you pointed out, some very talented players in the NC/VA area may not have received invites. Not for any reason other than we are just expanding into those areas. We would love to get to know those players and provide them with opportunities to participate.

We suggest you go to our site www.prospectwire.com and learn more about us. Or click here to go directly to the About us page.

123, we can assure you that we are not a Hoax as you suggest and in fact would point out that KJ Woods was invited however, since he had a commitment to the USA Baseball 40 man team trials we certainly understood when he was not available. We also had some of the top prospects from SC at the event. As Caroliner points out the scouts we had at the event in Florida were real as well. All American title came from the fact that it was an invite only event and had players from CA, AZ, NY, NC, TX, SC, FL, PA, MD, WA, IL, NJ, MA, VA and so on.

We pride ourselves in finding the best players. We just have not found all of them yet. If we have offended you based on that we apologize.

    PW.
