Carolina Edge 14U Tyouts

Carolina Edge 12U will be moving up to 14U this fall. The team is looking to add 2-3 players to this already talented team for the Fall and 2012 season. We would prefer 98 birthdays but will consider strong 99's. Charlotte Starz 14-U Purple Tryouts

The Charlotte Starz will be holding tryouts for our first-year 14-U Purple team on the following dates:

• Saturday, 08/20 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM

• Saturday, 08/20 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Tryouts will be held at James Martin Middle School off of IBM Drive in the University area of Charlotte. The address is 7800 IBM Drive, Charlotte, NC 28206.
We have a number of roster spots available as we make the transition to 14-U. We are looking for dedicated players who love the game and are willing to work hard to reach their dreams.

Our core group of players are 1998 rising eighth-graders. We are considering both '98 and '97 players, and will play approximately 4 - 6 tournaments beginning in September.

Denver Dazzle 12u tryout rescheduled

Tryouts for Denver Dazzle 12u have been rescheduled to Saturday Aug 20th.

The Tryout will be held at 12:30 PM at Howards Furniture field – 5794 Highway 150 E, Denver NC 28037.

Palmetto Sting

Rain Make up day will be Tuesday 8/16-630 at Belmont Abbey or call David to schedule a different time if you can't make the 16th.


The Palmetto Sting 16U team will be having tryouts on August 9 and 11 at Belmont Abbey College at 630. The team is coached by Dana (Carter)Catchpole. She is a former player for the University of Buffalo(D1 school). This is a non-parent coached team. Practices will be at Belmont Abbey College and tournaments around the Charlotte area. The Tarheel Fastpitch Stars organization was created to field teams of elite players throughout the state and region that are looking for professional coaching and play at a high level, particularly players that are pupils of The Fastpitch School [www.thefastpitchschool.com).

Our Goal? Simple — Help players extend their career beyond high school by preparing them to play at a high level and presenting them to university and college recruiters.

How? Tournaments - Legendary Showcase, VA; Gold Diamond, TN; WFC Early Signing, SC; Fireworks, Denver to name a few. Minimum 12 total for 18U.

Hometown Carlsbad, NM - 1998 graduate of Indiana University as a 4 Time All Big Ten and 2 Time All American. Following her outstanding college career Monica played in the Women's Professional Softball League with the Carolina Diamonds for two seasons, where in 1999 she set the WPSL single-season home run record (12), one season for the WPSL All-Star Team, as well as a season with the Akron Racers. Seven years as an 18U Head Coach, former Head Coach of the Carolina Lady Blues.

What coaching? This coaching! 16U Head Coach Michelle Batts
Started all 193 games Northwestern played during her career ... Concluded her career ranked fourth in NU history in walks (101), fifth in home runs (41), slugging (.554) and RBIs (154), and sixth in on-base percentage (.403); NFCA All Region Team in 2008 and 2010; All Big Ten 3 of her 4 college seasons; Started all games and was a key contributor to the 2008 ASA 18u Class “A” National Champion Lemont, IL Rockers; Coached the Lemont Rockers, 2008 thru 2010; Coached the St. Charles Comets 14u, 2010-2011 before moving back to NC this summer.

CAROLINA LOOKOUTS 18U

The Carolina Lookouts 18u is looking to add a dedicated player to our roster. We are in need of an outfielder who can bunt and slap. We primarily play Showcase Tournaments. We will travel this fall from South Carolina to Virginia. We will be playing several college and JUCO teams this fall.
We are based out of Raleigh, NC, but have practice sites east of I-95 also for player convenience.
