    Coaches,
I hope you all had a great time at the Cardinals Late Summer Showcase.
It was a challenge to get as many games in as we did.
We sincerely appreciate your understanding and patience. The Rock Hill grounds crew did an amazing job getting most all the fields ready for play, after all the rain we encountered.
We had a good attendance of college coaches. There were many positive comments about the level of play they saw form your teams.
We congratulate all the bracket winners. They will receive an Easton Stealth 33/23 bat for their accomplishment. It took a while to round up all the scores but here is how the final tally came out. (There were several tie records, coming down to tiebreakers)
Carolina Crush, Richmond Diamonds, Carolina Elite Pack, NC Flames, Carolina Wildcats, Carolina Hit-N-Run, Lady Blues Oldham, Xtreme, Carolina Comets Teal, Hurricanes Elite, CV Storm - Blochvaviak, Mountain Thunder, and the Wayne Cty. Hurricanes. All won there respective pools. You will be shipped your bat by next week.
There were multiple coaches from the following colleges that signed in:
Methodist, App. St., Newberry, USC Salkahatchie, Belmont Abbey, Limestone, Averett, Mars Hill, USC Upstate, UVA-Wise, Pitt Community, Western Carolina, Erskine, Greensboro, College of Charleston, Spartanburg Methodist, UNC Charlotte, Guilford, Wingate, USC-Lancaster, Lenoir Rhyne, Francis Marion, UNC Wilmington, UNC Pembroke, Salem, Presbyterian, Johnson C. Smith, Winthrop,
We hope you found your weekend beneficial!
Thanks again for your support of our Cardinal Showcase,
    Rick McHone

    I missed one

I forgot to say a special Thank You! to Larry Woodall and Upper Deck for supporting all our tournaments and supplying the Easton Stealth bats that were given away to each of the bracket winners.

As a Winston-Salem guy it's nice to see Salem College back on that list...awfully nice field to just sit there not being used. :cheer:

We too were very impressed with the Rock Hill grounds crew. Outstanding job getting the fields playable with all the rain.
Also agree that Scott Long will make a positive impact at Salem. He truely cares for the players (seen it with the varsity softball team at Calvary Baptist).

    Salem Softball

Coach Long hs already had a positive impact on the program in my eyes--I got to meet him last Spring when they scrimmaged High Point and WS State. He is a very personable and hardworking Coach. My DD Samantha will be playing for him this year and I am so looking forward to the first full season.
