Many topics. Sometimes multiple times. But we have many new members and we take for granted that "everyone" knows everything. We have discussed HS coaches and what we think they should do to every aspect of recruiting. Although some of us have been here a long time, it is great to bring up subjects discussed before.

If anyone has a question or a topic to discuss bring it up. There are many helpful people on TBR who are willing to help.

    Great stuff...and thank you!

I have been a regular reader and somewhat frequent poster on here and I know that it is a truly wonderful resource for many folks. For some it is a place to keep up with the news (good and bad) in our little corner of the baseball world. For others it is a place to puff up their chest and root for the home team. For many it is the go-to source for valuable information and insider perspective that helps them with their family's baseball journey.

While there are many worn out debates, they seem to re-energize from time to time and some new perspective occasionally pops up. For sure, we know that many of our friends and electronic acquaintances on here are passionate about baseball. We also know that we are blessed to live in a part of the country where baseball is very established and played well at all levels.

For me, the most valuable thing I have ever read on here is the insider perspective from coaches as to what they look for as they evaluate players and particularly the finer nuances that separate players...thinking of the player who has traveled the Southeast trying to get into a position to impress and unknowingly undermines everything because of character lapses, behavior, or choices made that coaches see and use to silently frame their opinions.

I hope this board continues to thrive and we use it as a platform to celebrate the successes of teams and deserving individuals. Baseball is such a great game and TBR has enriched my enjoyment of it in ways big and small....thanks to the moderator(s) and the posters who keep breathing life into it.

Outstanding post! You made my day L&S. It's this kind of post that keeps me going. There have been times that I have felt "tired" and thought maybe TBR has surpassed its usefulness..and thought about closing it down. But then I read a post like yours and it helps to remind me why I started it in the first place.

Recently, my time has been short on TBR, but when things start to calm down business-wise, I will post more interviews with coaches and players. I, also, thought about doing a "tour with college coaches"; giving them a chance to discuss their school and program in a more detailed way. There are still a lot of interesting topics to discuss and players to mention.

But here is why I believe TBR can still be relevant. It is very difficult to find interesting material in today's newspapers: Rarely are baseball players discussed. But you can find it here.

    Braves-
You definitely should not close this site down! Even old dogs that have been around the game a long time like me have read some incredible posts from inspired people that have made me evaluate the way I've done things as a coach for 13 years. We all need to learn and keep improving how we do things....and there are some really good posters on here that could help anyone, regardless of their background in this game.
Everyone should read some of the insights on this site. I look forward to learning more in the years to come.

Well, let's not be too humble. It's through people like yourself participating that makes it worthwhile...and now that you have a little bit more time on your hands :pet: maybe you will entertain the thought of becoming a moderator. I can use the help!...and the pay is great!!!!!!!:twocents:
