Queens University 2011 Fall Skills Clinic

What to Bring: Softball Gear (glove, bat, helmet, cleats)
Join the Coaches of Queens University Softball Team and Take your game to the next level at the Fall 2011 Skills Camp.

Open to every type of player in all grade levels, the Queens University Softball Coaching Staff wants to help you enhance your softball skills. Whether it is defense or hitting, we can make you better.

• Work with Queens University of Charlotte Coaching Staff
• Receive personalized instruction
• All can learn new skills or techniques

Defense
• Position-specific instruction
• Individual fielding skills
• Throwing fundamentals
• Learn game situations
• Build on defensive communication

Hitting
• Learn proper swing mechanics
• Build on mental aspect of hitting
• Practice hitting through drills using t-work, soft & front toss, & live pitching
• Improve bunting & slapping


Camp will run in two Sessions:

Session I - Defense
10:00 AM- 12:00 PM

Lunch
12:00-12:30

Session II - Hitting
12:45 PM-2:45 PM

Charleston Southern to hold fall clinics

The Charleston Southern Softball Team and head coach Shane Winkler has announced two Prospect Camps for players serious about playing softball at the next level.

The camps will be held on October 15 and November 5. Each camp will begin at 9am and run until 1pm. Players will have an opportunity to showcase their skills with drills and live game situations while also gaining instruction from CSU coaches and players. To reserve a spot for one of the two clinics, email Coach Shane Winkler at [email protected] as soon as possible as spots are limited.

College of Charleston Softball All Skills Sessions
November 13, 2011—Patriots Point, Home of the Cougars​

All sessions cost $45 and are two hours long
« Open to girls in grades 6-12 «

9:00am-11:30am Pitching and Catching—$45
Pitching—Space is limited to the first 30 registrations; SIGN UP EARLY! Space is limited in order to maximize instruction to each pitcher. Work on increasing effectiveness of the curveball and screw ball.
Catching—Space is limited to the first 30 registrations; SIGN UP EARLY!
Catcher specific drills for receiving, plate coverage, blocks, pick-offs, throw downs, pop-ups, and more will be covered. Hands on and personal attention for each catcher.


12:00pm-2:00pm Infield—$45
Infield—Space is limited; SIGN UP SOON!
Drills will be taught and incorporated that can be taken home and used to increase skills on the infield. Position specific work will be taught including footwork, positioning, approach, base coverage, agilities and more.


2:30pm-4:30pm Hitting—$45
Hitting—Space is limited; SIGN UP SOON!
Increase power, increase productivity, increase KNOWLEDGE! Breakdown of the swing will be covered and reviewed along with other drills that can be done at home.

5:00pm-7:00pm Outfield—$45
Outfield—Space is limited; SIGN UP SOON!
First step back! Learn the tips and tricks that make our outfield the top in the Southern Conference. Arm strength and accuracy are key. Our staff and team will work with your softball player to maximize her potential in the grass.

November 12th Wingate Softball will be hosting 2 pitching clinics with a limit of 30 athletes in each session.

10:00am - 12:00pm - Beginner

1:00pm - 3:00pm Intermediate/Advanced
