North does have some strong seniors in Jake C,Joey Royko and in David Matusk The juinors class is stronger though if developed correctly. They need Jacob Osenbaugh to mature as a team captain behind the plate they also have to give Anderson time on the mound he is throwing as hard as Norton ( both mid 80's) but also has a strong curve and slider. North needs those 2 throwing. They both will be picked up by a D2 school if the coaching staff gets them exposure

Hey Lovethegame you got the first part right,North will have a good senior bunch but as far as the the juniors I dont see it happening. I can't see Osenbaugh being a team captian no more than I can see him behind the plate not as long as Zack Reeder is there. And who is the Anderson kid you keep talking about. Never heard of him. is he a transfer or what.

I have coached in the Lake Norman Area for many years and have seen many of the kids from lincoln county. I have to agree with baseball5.

Osenbaugh needs alot of work to be considered as a catcher. His strongest point is his bat and only effective against average pitching.

North Lincoln seniors are very talented and they can have a strong pitching staff with Cochrane, Norton, Royko, and Stidham.

Never heard or saw a kid by the name of Anderson at North. If he is that good I would love to have him on my team as I am in constant contact with colleges looking for talent. Reeder and Matousek should sure up behind the plate with both having there strong points. I think Reeder is a sophmore so it will be hard to beat him out of that position the next several years.

With North only losing 2 senior starters from last year not many juniors will be able to move up unless they have a large Roster

I've had an opportunity to watch the Copperheads 18U Showcase team this past summer and fall and am very impressed with Royko, Stidman & Matousek. Being from the Concord Mills area, I didn't know much about these guys until recently. Both Stidman & Royko are solid middle infielders along with being very polished on the mound. All 3 are very good hitters with Stidman having the better power of the 3. North Lincoln should be very, very strong in 2012.

North will be strong with the seniors mentioned above and should be a conferance favorite. East lost all there senior pitching last year but have jake helms and Cameron carter in the middle. Charlie Goss behind the plate will be strong and Hodges in the outfield can be one of the best in the county. Matille will keep them competative.

West is young but they still have Cameron High, Young pitchers in Jenkins and Parker will make them competative in the years ahead.

After this year I do not see the Talent at North other than reeder and Norton.

How bout the coaching? I know east and west are strong in this dept. What about Lin ok ton and North?
I have seen Anderson throw in Spartanburg and know he works out with Rosenbaum in Moorseville. What I have seen he has talent to be on the hill as a starter behind Norton

    Lincoln County Players

    Let's set this straight.

East players- Clay Hodges excellent ball player lightening quick speed, great bat . Charlie Goss excellent. Cameron Carter and his brother Jake excellent. Both made some incredible plays from short and second.Darren Salters solid player great curve ball, baseball smart. Not given nearly enough credit for being as good as he is. Addison Parrish power hitter. With some pushing from the coaches can be a good ball player. Excellent hitting ability. Has the ability to ba a great ball player

Lincolnton- Hoover another super fast smart at bat. Can play infield outfield. Jayden Angle great out fielder quick feet and baseball smart. Great attitude. J.T Bowden decent bat. Needs to strengthen arm. Decent pitcher.

North- Justin Norton great throwing arm. Strong short stop. Top Notch pitcher. Good attitude. Needs stronger bat. Jake Cochrane strong pitcher great utility player. Andrew Stidham has a very strong arm and the ability to be an incredible ball player. Head gets in the way. Made more errors on short in one game last year than the team made in runs the entire year.Reeder lets start with HEADCASE. 2-26 last season. Moved around several times to find a spot to play. BENCH! Jake Osenbaugh excellent quick bat, plays great second base, power hitter. Quickest bat I've ever seen. Strong arm needs to work on accuracy. Joey Royko medium to weak at second. Weak bat, pitching very slow needs work. As a senior I would expect better. Matusak not much to say. Not impressed. Anderson watched him. Still needs work. Coaches do not talk favorable of him.

    Lincoln Charter -God Bless them

    West lincoln-
Cameron High- Great ball player. Great eye for the ball. Good pither. Derek Braun Good Catcher. Quick behind the plate. Good bat.

If you disagree with this it is because you are either coach them. Tim for the Copperheads or you are a parent. It is what it is.

    A BIG HOORAY FOR baseball55...........

Great, great assessment of the area's players. Nice to see an objective, while not hurtful, honest opinion.
I realize the leadership of TBR advocates only "attaboys" and similar stroking of the young men. But true assessments that might be helpful to the players are of great value.
Again, to baseball55: Well written and keep it up.:stoned2::56::acclaim:
