Fantastic opportunity for players and families....on top of that, you will see a high school baseball complex at Charlotte Country Day that takes a back seat to none. Coach Hennessey and his staff will have things in first-class shape, I'm sure....

To my knowledge, Charlotte has never had a premiere program conduct a clinic here. This, obviously, is due to Robert Woodard and his connections with Charlotte. I think this is a tremendous opportunity for those interested (nearly everyone in the state of NC) in the UNC program. But what I have always liked about UNC and their camps is it is not developed to be a moneymaker. The coaches actually attend the camp and participate in the workouts.

What a wonderful way to get introduced to the UNC program and their coaches. It's kind of nice that half of the UNC coaches are from Charlotte. It's nice to see them invest their time back into the city.

I think it's worth noting that the large majority of college baseball camps are held on the host school's campus, and they tend to employ only that school's coaches and a few current players as instructors. However, the instruction staff in this instance includes not only 3 of the 4 current UNC coaches; but also the UNC Olympic sport strength and conditioning coach, a minor league manager, a major league player, assistant coaches from two other Division I universities, two coaches from the host high school, and a recently-graduated UNC pitcher.

    SKILL SHOW

Just wanted to announce that Skill Show production will attend the camp on Sunday- December 4th. Campers will have the opportunity to purchase video packages of their workouts during the course of camp. Campers who choose to purchase their video, will then have an edited copy of their 60 yard dash, baserunning, defensive workout, BP, and/or bullpen sessions on film. Which can later be used to send out college coaches.

By no means is this required, but the option will be available.

Looking forward to seeing everyone in Charlotte!
